Jag hade förmånen att tala till de drygt 900 delegaterna och 250 internationella gästerna på Polisarios kongress på den svenska delegationens vägnar. En av de häftigare upplevelserna i mitt liv!
Här är en del av mitt tal;
"I want You all to know that there are a lot of friends of the Polisario and the Sahrawis far away in northern Europe and I want the occupying power Marocco to know that we are many in Sweden following and protesting against the Moroccan oppression, crimes and human rights violations. Sweden is a member of the European Union and I must say that I'm very disappointed with the European Union because of its lack of support of the Sahrawi people and the deep economic and political co-operation with Morocco. With great sadness we can see that some European countries have chosen to support injustice and oppression at the expense of international humanitarian law, human rights and freedom. But we are doing our best inside and outside the Swedish and European parliaments . As a result Sweden was the only country in the European Union which voted against the European Union - Moroccan Fisheries Agreement.
I hope that when we come back we will meet in La Aaiun, the capital of a liberated Western Sahara. History has learnt us that oppression can win in the short-run, but the desire for freedom will allways be victorious in the long-run.
